Hotel room booking scam again
Another scam of the hotel booking type. Rent hotel rooms, pay with a check with a denomination that is more money than the rooms cost, ask for the difference in cash back, and the check is not covered of course. Don't reply to this. Here the actual message:

The exact same scam text sent to us to book accomodations for San Fermin in Pamplona. They have even sent us a check from HSBC for 9,400 pounds when the total for accomodation is 2,300 euros. Check from Saatchi and Saatchi.....

I've just got it too! Here his answer to my mail in full text:
Hello
Thanks for your offer and effort so far. after my last meeting with the visitors, they decided to stay at your place for the requested period .
However, a Certified Bank Cheque of € 8,800 was earlier made out by the Authorities who are sponsoring the guest who are visiting. The Cheque payment was meant to take care of their hosting services, car rental, and other necessary arrangements for all the 9 persons who were initially meant to embark on this journey together, but due to some circumstances the other 5 persons will not be part of the journey any more, so only 4 persons will now make the trip.
Since all the money meant for paying for their accommodation came in one cheque package, I will not be able to make a deposit separately, therefore i have been instructed to send you the Cheque, so when you receive the cheque payment, you are required to deduct the cost of your accommodation services and keep the balance of their money which has already been designated by the sponsors for other logistics arrangements for the guest. instructions shall be given to you on how to use the balance. I will need you to approve this and provide the following details:
1, YOUR FULL NAME (AS IT SHOULD APPEAR ON THE CHEQUE).............................
